catalog: Toon Boom libraries are subdivided into catalogs. The purpose of catalogs is to improve the organization of the libraries. They are partitions for separating groups of templates. If you actually look inside a library folder on your computer you will see that catalogs aren't actually sub-folders but "virtual" sub-folders only in the library panel itself inside Toon Boom. Using catalogs is a good practice because it helps you to control template clutter. It is important to note that using descriptive catalog names is also very useful. You can think of a library as a long file drawer full of templates and the catalogs are subdivisions that help you quickly locate specifc groups of templates.
