child: A child is a member of a hierarchy. A hierarchy is a relational structure used in TBS to construct cut-out characters as well as to link elements together. The element above another element in a hierarchy is called the parent of the lower element and that lower element is a child of the higher element. Elements on the same level below a parent element are all children of the parent and are also siblings of each other. (brothers or sisters) The importance of a hierarchy is not only as a grouping structure but also as a control structure where the behavior of the children is dictated by the behavior of their parents. When the parent moves the child follows.
