Color Transform Effect: A color transform effect is a dynamic element which can be used to apply and control the
animation of color and opacity changes. You attach
elements whose colors you want to change over time to Color Transform Effect
elements. Then, you change the properties of the Color Transform Effect
elements at selected
keyframes. Toon Boom Studio calcul

ates the color values of each image on an attached element at each
frame for you. You can transform any visual element type - drawing, image, or media.
You can add/subtract (
Additive) values to/from the color channels (red, blue, green and alpha) or you can multiply (
Multiplicative) the current color values by a value. Alpha values control opacity / transparency of the attached
elements. Check out the page on
flattening to learn more about the purpose of the Flatten check box at the bottom of the Color Transform Effect panel.
The tutorial
A Text Scrolling Technique In Perspective is available to help you learn more about the application of color transform effects.
