contours: Contours surround strokes you draw with the
Brush tool. Brush strokes require more memory to store than do shapes you draw with the centerline tools: Polyline, Pencil, Ellipse or Rectangle.
You can convert your brush strokes to centerlines to reduce the amount of memory required for storage (file size). You can also delete vector points in contours to reduce the file size of your animation. When you use the Brush, Toon Boom Studio creates a shape that is surrounded by points, creating what we call a contour line. Toon Boom Studio also creates contour lines when you paint an enclosed shape. You can reshape either Brush lines or painted zones with the
Contour Editor.
