pivot point : In TBS scaling and rotation can be applied to objects. Any scaling action or rotational movement for an object references a fixed point called a pivot point. There are individually set pivot points for scaling and rotation. The transform operations for the select tools and the transform tools will use the scaling pivot point and or the rotation pivot points for the selected object, but they also will allow the temporary movement of the pivot point without effecting the actual set locations of either pivot point. The scaling pivot point for an element is set using the scene planning scale tool. The rotation pivot point for an element can be set using either the scene planning rotation tool or the scene planning skew tool. The pivot points for an element are static values and once set will remain set until you reset them using the appropriate scene planning tool. These pivot points are not key framed, but changing a pivot point's set location for an element after you have keyframed that element will effect the keyframed results so care must be taken not to change these values after you have started setting keyframes for the element. If you need to move a pivot point once you start keyframing an element, use the transform tool's temporary pivot point don't move the static pivot points with either the scale, skew or rotation tools.
