velocity: Velocity is all about the rate of change between drawings. It is essentially the same as defining the
spacing of drawings. A velocity curve is a mathematical function that is used by the TBS render engine to determine the rate of change between computer rendered in between drawings or images. Velocity curves are attached to
non-constant segments to control "
tweening". In the
function editor there are curves designated as "velocity" curves which apply to motion paths, but there are also velocity curves for scaling, skewing, and rotation which are labeled "H-scale", "V-scale", "Skewing" and "Rotation". Even though these other function curves are not labeled as velocity curves specifically, that is still their purpose. They establish the rate of change in the
tweening of these other attribute values. The default velocity for
tweening is a linear curve which is just an even rate of change. To create custom
easing or cushioning you can reshape the velocity curve to adjust the
spacing pattern of the rendered in betweens.
